Declassifying hard drives generally involves a multipass binary overwrite. Autoclave is a bootable floppy-based application for this purpose.
TinyDNS is one part of DjbDNS. This super efficient and secure DNS server should replace BIND. Unfortunately, what should be and what is are usually two different things. If we have time, we will set up BIND and then "upgrade" to tinydns. Let me know what your interest level may be.
Daniel J. Bernstein is a college professsor and an outspoken advocate for secure code. His other projects include qmail and publicfile (both of which have never had a security issue as far as I know).
